Rough week so far. Stitching was calming.

Painted Sketch

For Christmas my Aunt gave us all a DVD of old family movies. I'm starting to paint film stills from this DVD. The colors/grain in the film are great. This is a gouache sketch of my Grandma and Great Aunt at my Grandma's wedding. Classic expressions.

My First Illustration Friday!

My lovely boyfriend and I will be making this for breakfast tomorrow! Not only am I overly excited to eat this delicious bacon... I am more excited to be starting what I hope will be a weekly Illustration Friday post!

Home Sweet Home

So I did this yesterday and I was GOING to submit it to an open call at a gallery in Brooklyn. Well, I must have been really tired because I painted on it when the submission was only for drawing mediums... oh well. Also, I think its time for a good scanner cleaning.
